The Email - IMAP Connection Monitored Test checks if your email server is responding properly to IMAP connection requests. This test is performed from all 10 independent monitoring locations on the specified Run Every period against the specified URL. Both Uptime and Latency are calculated from the result of this test.

Technically, this test is opening a socket connection to your IMAP server on the specified Host and Port, sending the specified Send Text, and verifying that Receive Text is received in the response.
